This year’s recipient was a local Macomb County resident whose life has been defined by devotion to others. Having served as a dedicated hospice nurse for over 15 years, her career came to an abrupt end when she was permanently disabled while caring for her last patient.

Despite living on a limited fixed income and managing health challenges, the family continued to collect charitable donations through local school organizations and their church to help others in need. However, when their home’s air conditioning system failed over two years ago, replacing it was financially out of reach. Recognising their selflessness, a thoughtful family friend nominated them for the Feel the Love program.
